Songs, videos, stills & more!: All you want to know about episode 8, “Hold on to Sixteen”

December 4, 2011

New Directions 2It’s Sectionals time! This week marks the first competition episode of Glee‘s third season, and I’m super excited. Competition episodes, be it Sectionals, Regionals, or Nationals, are always exciting in the world of Glee, so I’m expecting nothing less than awesomeness from this episode! Spoilerphobes, it’s preview post time, so avert your eyes if you don’t want to see the official synopsis, episode stills, full songs and a bunch of sneak peek videos from this week’s episode. First, here’s the synopsis:

In an attempt to recruit a few more members, Finn tracks down former teammate Sam Evans and convinces him to come back to the glee club. Tina comes to the defense of Mike and encourages him to pursue his dream while McKinley prepares to host the big sectionals performance.

The return of Trouty Mouth! Tina/Mike drama! McKinley’s hosting Sectionals? I’d say that’s a biased location, but then there are two groups from the one school, so I guess it makes sense geographically. Want to hear what those performance songs and the rest of the music from the episode sound like? Listen below for all seven songs from this week’s episode!

And if audio isn’t enough for you, Check out the full performance of Sam’s “Red Solo Cup”, The Troubletones’ “Survivor/I Will Survive”, plus a ton of preview clips and behind-the-scenes videos below:

And, as always, I’ve got episode stills to wrap things up! Click on each image for the full-sized version:
