Poll: Will New Directions win at Nationals?

May 23, 2011

New York

Last year, right before the season 1 finale, I asked my fellow gleeks if they thought New Directions would win at Regionals. Even though our favourite glee clubbers had tried so hard all season, I really didn’t think they were good enough yet to beat Vocal Adrenaline, and sure enough, I was right.

Now, on the eve of the season 2 finale, I’m wondering about the fate of McKinley’s glee club against schools from all across the country — including, of course, their old rivals Vocal Adrenaline. I think that New Directions has a much better chance at coming out on top at the season’s end than they did last year, but I’m still not sure. Are they really the best glee club in the country?! Considering that some of their members can’t dance very well (Finn) or sing very well (Mike), I’m just not sure it makes sense that they deserve the title of #1 across the nation. Then again, they’re going to be singing original songs, which definitely will help them stand out from their competition. To be honest, I’m really not sure if they’re going to take home the gold or not.

And so, just like last year, I’ve set up a poll to find out what the rest of you gleeks are expecting as the outcome to the competition. Pick your option below, and if you’ve got a great explanation behind your prediction, please share it with the rest of us in the comments, too! (Although no spoilers, please! If you have insider information or have seen the episode already, please keep it to yourself! This is just supposed to be our fun predictions.) Last year our poll results favoured New Directions to win at Regionals…let’s see if our guesses are more accurate this time around!

    I think they’ll get 2nd or 3rd. I don’t think they’ll win.
