We we we so excited? Glee to cover Rebecca Black’s “Friday”
Friday’s not until tomorrow, but I can’t wait until then to share the latest Glee song news. Vulture is reporting that the show’s prom episode, which will air later this season, will feature a rendition of Rebecca Black’s infamous “Friday”. Artie, Puck and Sam will be the unlikely trio covering the song, and I wonder if Kevin McHale, Mark Salling and Chord Overstreet will have fun, fun, fun, fun recording this one.
Alright, enough “Friday” jokes. What I want to know is, what do you gleeks think of this? There’s been some pretty hilarious parodies of “Friday” in the media so far (my top two faves are definitely Jimmy Fallon & Stephen Colbert’s version and the bad lip reader version), and I hope that Glee can find a way to add to the wealth of parodies already out there. I really hope that they don’t do too serious of a performance of the song. I mean, I think Artie can decide which seat he should take without singing about it, right? What do you think about Glee covering the latest internet sensation? Rant and rave away in the comments!
Ugh. Why?!?! WHY!?! Why, Ryan Murphy, whyyyy? Have you lost your mind? Why cover the song that has the most dislikes on Youtube ever? Ah yes, that’s a good idea. *not*
First Bieber, now Black? Glee’s…kind of going downhill.
the Bieber episode as so hilarious! Am I the only one who understood the parody factor about it? xD
so yeah, hopefully will be like this, ’cause this song S**KS @_@
