Time magazine announced their list today for 2010’s 100 Most Influential People and our Lea Michele has made the cut! Coming in at number 13 on the artists list, Lea Michele’s profile is written by next week’s Glee guest star, Olivia Newton-John. Here’s an excerpt:
When I met Lea Michele this spring, I asked her what she wanted the world to know about her that it might not know already. Professional reporter that I am, I forgot to ask her how it feels to know that, as Rachel Berry on the hit TV show Glee, she is inspiring young people to get involved in musical programs in schools and encouraging communities to fund them — in short, how it feels to be a role model.
Other artists on the list include upcoming Glee guest star, Neil Patrick Harris and upcoming Glee covered artist, Lady Gaga. The full list is available on the Time website. Congrats, Lea!
when i was in highschool way back 1993 or 1994, i wanted to become a glee club member in our school, but i hesitated because i was shy. i know i had a good singing voice ( as my family would always tell me) but because of shyness i did not pursue my desire. when i entered college thats when i had a chance to be in a singing group for a contest though we did not win. i was glad i joined. it was a good feeling for me, i was released. if we were in the same shoes as ms lea michele maybe she could really be a significant influence on me. thanks for letting me share my story. God bless!
