Global launches GLEE-FM: A one-day musical Glee-volution

April 7, 2010

Thank you, Global! The channel that airs Glee up here in Canada has finally given us a reason to love being a Canadian gleek. Global has just announced the launch of the world’s first all Glee radio station…for one day.

To promote the return of Glee on April 13, Global will be taking over Toronto radio station ProudFM and rebranding it GLEE-FM 103.9 on April 12. From 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. that day, gleeks will be hear a range of songs from the show’s first two soundtracks, as well as interviews with cast members, behind-the-scenes clips, hourly chances to win a CD prize pack (featuring the two existing soundtracks and an advance copy of The Power of Madonna EP), and a chance to win the day’s grand prize: a trip for two to New York City to see the Glee concert tour!

The contests are only open to residents of Ontario, but don’t despair non-Ontarian gleeks! Fans around the world can still tune into the one-day station by visiting the GLEE-FM site!

Also, Canadian Glee fans, take note! Global will be airing the first episode (“Hell-O”) starting at 9:25 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13 not 9:28 p.m. like FOX in the States! Set your PVRs accordingly!
