Gleeks promoting literacy: What’s not to love?

December 12, 2009

Dianna Agron, Kevin McHale, Chris Colfer, Jenna Ushkowitz, and Lea Michele autographed two of their favourite books each and donated them to 826LA, “a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting students ages 6 to 18 with their creative and expository writing skills, and to helping teachers inspire their students to write.” These books are now being individually auctioned off as a fundraiser for 826LA! By bidding on one of these items, not only will you receive some amazing Glee-related paraphernalia, but you’ll also help support 826LA’s fantastic free writing programs for youth. I’m a bit late in posting this one, and as a result, some of the books available to bid on only have a few hours left to go!

A few cute gleeks with some of their favourite books.

The books available are:

Alice in Wonderland or The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe signed by Dianna Agron

The Daily Coyote or The Giving Tree signed by Kevin McHale

Where the Wild Things Are or The Grouchy Ladybug signed by Chris Colfer

Goodnight Moon or The Kite Runner signed by Jenna Ushkowitz

The Polar Express or The Giving Tree signed by Lea Michele

Go bid now! Or, if you don’t have the funds for expensive gifts, be sure to still check out 826LA‘s fantastic site. Oh, and tell me which book you would like to bid on if you could! I think I’d go with Dianna Agron’s Alice in Wonderland, Jenna Ushkowitz’s Goodnight Moon, or Lea Michele’s The Polar Express – all truly wonderful books.
