“Hairography” songs, Christmas single, and what happens after “Sectionals”

November 24, 2009

Gleeksters, I’ve got some good news, and I’ve got some very bad news. To help ease the suffering, I’m going to try to dole it out to you the way I like to receive such news: I’ll give you some good, I’ll give you the bad, and then I’ll give you some good again. My only hope is that you don’t shoot the messenger.

  • The Glee cast’s cover of Wham’s “Last Christmas” is now available! With Lea Michele on lead vocals with some solid supporting action by Cory Monteith, it’s pretty adorable. For reasons yet unknown to me, the song is currently only available for download through the iTunes U.S. store, so until we can download it ourselves, listen to it here on YouTube.
  • Alright, the bad news. I don’t know how to sugarcoat this any further, my friends, and I apologize. Today FOX released their mid-season schedule which lists when each of their shows will be back on with new episodes after the holiday season. Well, it turns out that it’s going to take quite a while to film the back 9 episodes of this season of Glee, and so after episode 13 (“Sectionals”) airs on December 9, there will be no new Glee until…Tuesday, April 13 at 9 p.m. If anyone has any suggestions/advices/tips they want to share on how they will get through those traumatic four months, please share them in the comments below.
  • More good news to wrap it up! We still have three more episodes before the break, and the six songs in tomorrow’s episode “Hairography” are now available for you to listen to on GleeForum. I’m thrilled that Jenna Ushkowitz has finally been given a solo with “True Colors” and I am 150% sure that I’m going to cry during “Imagine.” Oh, and the mash-up of “Hair” and “Crazy In Love?” Hilarious! My current top suggestion for getting through the pain of the four-month break news is to listen to that mash-up a few times in a row!

I know! I’m really not sure I’m going to make it through alright. We might need lots more DDPP to help lift our spirits!
